Hindmarsh is committed to providing a safe environment for all of its employees and customers, demonstrating responsible environmental performance and applying effective quality practices in the workplace.
To achieve these goals Hindmarsh has implemented an integrated Safety, Quality and Environment (SQE) business management system, which provides the company with a systematic and comprehensive process for managing all SQE issues with increased efficiency and without unnecessary duplication. The integrated system enables the identification, assessment and control of risks and hazards associated with all of the company’s organizational and project activities.
The integrated SQE system satisfies the requirements of each of the following international benchmark standards:
- AS 4801:2001 (Occupational Health and Safety Systems).
- ISO 14001:2004 (Environmental Management Systems);
- ISO 9001:2000 (Quality Management Systems).
The Hindmarsh SQE system is audited annually by an independent third party certification organisation and each element is audited regularly by qualified internal audit staff, who are fully trained in the auditing of integrated SQE systems.
In September 2007, Hindmarsh attained Full Accreditation under the Australian Government Building and Construction OHS Accreditation Scheme, which is current to October 2010. This accreditation is administered by the Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner.
