John graduated from The University of NSW with an Honours Degree in Building. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Building and holds an A Class Building Licence in the ACT. John has over 40 years experience at all levels of management in property, construction and investment in Australia and overseas. He is Executive Chairman of Hindmarsh, an organisation he established in 1979.
Chief Executive Officer
As Chief Executive Officer, Rowan is responsible for all of Hindmarsh’s business activities including construction, property development, retirement and capital. Previously Rowan supervised the capital, parking and China operations of Hindmarsh. He has extensive experience in capital market transactions involving sourcing equity and debt funding. Prior to joining Hindmarsh, Rowan spent 6 years working at Accenture with clients such as AMP and UBS, both in Australia and in the United Kingdom. Rowan holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of Science from the Australian National University.
Stephen has 40 years of experience in development, project management and investment within the property and construction industry. This experience covers a broad range of complex and major projects and investments in Australia, the USA and South East Asia. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Australian Capital Ventures Ltd, investing in early stage companies in the ACT region and overviews Hindmarsh activities relating to China. He has successfully identified, purchased, managed and on-sold major Hindmarsh property investments in Vietnam and the USA.
Fiona has over twenty years experience as a finance and professional services executive. Fiona is Client Director at the Myer Family Company, Australia’s preeminent family office providing long-term wealth management advice in the ultra high net worth market. She is responsible for developing new family client relationships, providing succession and investment strategies, and building brand presence. Prior to this she has held a number of senior executive roles in banking and finance including Chief Operating Officer and Director - Structured and Project Finance for the ANZ Investment Bank. Fiona has both reported to and served on commercial and not-for-profit boards and currently sits on the Australian Institute of Art Historians, Gertrude Contemporary Gallery and the Audit and Finance Committee for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Her extensive experience in strategic leadership, commercial acumen and risk and governance expertise brings a unique and valuable skill set to the family and corporate boards she works with.
Stewart is the Chief Executive of the World Nomads Group, a leading global provider of travel insurance and subsidiary of health insurer nib. Before joining World Nomads Group, Stewart was a Director of Grant Samuel, a leading independent corporate advisory group. During his time at Grant Samuel, Stewart advised on a wide range of corporate advisory transactions across a broad range of industries including the building, food and beverage and travel industries. Stewart was admitted as a solicitor in 1997.
