  • Comprises 75 units built over 4 sites
  • Gold liveable standard units included

The Coombs residential development was the first of it’s kind in Canberra to have its public housing planned at the outset.  This project is the ACT Public Housing Renewal Taskforce’s largest upgrade to Canberra’s ageing public housing. The program has improved outcomes for public housing tenants, with more sustainable housing, better supporting the needs of people in the community.

The development comprises 75 units built over 4 sites:
  • Block 4 of section 12 has 17 units;
  • Blocks 5 & 6 of section 3 has 33 units; and
  • Block 6 of section 2 has 25 units.
There is a mix of adaptable units on the ground floor built to Class C standard, with all non-adaptable units being constructed to a Gold Liveable standard. Over the 4 sites on the ground floor there are 20 Gold Liveable Standard, two bedroom units, 16 of which are Class C standard adaptable. On the upper floors there are 36 two bedroom units that are of a Gold Liveable standard with the remaining 3 units being two-storey townhouses.
