Loganholme Bus Station

The Loganholme Bus Station project provided the bus commuters of Loganholme, to the south of Brisbane, with fresh and contemporary facilities to replace those of the existing aged and inadequate bus station.

The new bus interchange, adjacent to busy Logan Hyperdrome Shopping Centre, provided new shelter structures for patrons, a staff amenities block and commuter bike storage.

Beautification and increased comfort for users of the entire facility were priorities. Steel-columned and roofed shelters from the vagaries of the sun, wind and rain were erected to protect waiting patrons. Attractive and comfortable seating was also provided.

Substantial lighting and signage upgrades formed a major part of this project, with the intention of making bus users safer and better informed of their transport options. Extensive soft landscaping, including nature trees to provide shade and carbon emission mitigation, was also incorporated.

During the construction period, four temporary bus shelters were erected on the adjacent main road to maintain continuity of service and amenity to Logan bus users.
