A guide to Hindmarsh’s hiring process

Our process begins with a review of your application and resume, before the selection of who will be invited for a first round interview. This will allow us to get to know you, understand your goals and aspirations, and evaluate your skills and experience for the role.

Following the first round interview, you may be invited for a second round of interviews. Hiring decisions are made as soon as possible after your interview and we will stay in contact with you throughout the process.

Should your second round interview be successful, you may be requested to provide further information for background screening and reference checks. Depending on the role you have applied for, this may include, however is not limited to, verification of your identity, working rights, criminal history, qualification checks and pre-employment medical checks.

How can I apply for a job?

How are applications shortlisted?

All recruitment and selection procedures and decisions will reflect Hindmarsh’s commitment to providing equal opportunity, by assessing all potential candidates according to their skills, experience, knowledge, qualifications and capabilities.  No regard will be given to factors such as age, gender, marital status, race, religion, physical impairment or political opinions.

What should I expect in interviews?

You will be asked questions based on the required competencies for the role, as well as the selection criteria and technical skill requirements.  We use behavioural questioning and will ask you to support your responses by providing examples. We recommend that you prepare for your interview by reviewing the selection criteria that are listed in the job advertisement. You will also be given an opportunity to get to know us during the interview, we encourage you to ask questions about not just the role, but also the company as a whole. 

I am a Recruitment Agent, how can I submit a candidate for a position at Hindmarsh?

Hindmarsh have entered into preferred supplier agreements with a small number of agencies nationally to assist us when required in our recruitment activities and to partner and work alongside the internal recruitment function when required and when engaged to do so. Hindmarsh does not accept any unsolicited candidates.
