This ‘A’ Grade commercial office building incorporated 9 levels of office accommodation, roof level plant room, ground floor cafe and 5 levels of basement car parking for 60 vehicles.
A range of energy efficiency and sustainability features are incorporated into this 4.5 Star NABERS building including.

  • Soft-coat low E double glazed curtain wall facade
  • Twin air cooled chillers with central plant
  • Variable speed drive control throughout
  • Extensive energy and water metering and reporting
  • Advanced remote monitored BMS system
  • Night purge, outside air cycle, C02 monitoring to 5 Farrell Place incorporates a number of monitored and interfaced security systems including digital CCTV, electronic access control and entrance races to meet Commonwealth Government level security requirements.

Hindmarsh also delivered the 7,500m2 fitout of the building for the Commonwealth Department of Environment and Water Resources.
Two key design elements for the fitout were that the fitout achieve an Australian Building Green Housing Rating (ABGR) Scheme of 4.5 stars and a Green Business Council of Australia (GBCA) Greenstar Office Design v2 rating of 4 Stars.
