Fenner School & Climate Change Institute

The new Fenner School and Climate Change Institute (CCI) project allows the CCI and Fenner School to co-locate geographically on the Acton Campus of the ANU. The building creates a landmark for the CCI and the Fenner School and will be the first accredited 6 Star Green Star "design" and "as built" building on the ANU Campus.

The building is intended as a living laboratory, with various environmentally sustainable design initiative on display and able to be used for teaching and ongoing research.

The building is envisioned to showcase that environmentally sustainable design can be achieved without a significant cost premium, and that through its life the building will maintain a low environmental impact.

The Fenner School of Environment and Society is a world-class, nationally-distinctive School at the ANU for interdisciplinary research and education on complex environment-society systems.

The School through its education and training programs prepares the future generation of researchers, professionals and educators with the necessary mix of disciplinary foundations and integrative and applied skills needed to address challenges and opportunities in environment and sustainability.
