$26m Aspire Apartments

The Aspire Development is located at the southern end of the Sydney CBD, 100 metres south of Hyde Park and is within walking distance of Museum, Town Hall and Central Railway Stations, the bustling China Town precinct, Circular Quay, The Botanical Gardens and the Pitt Street Mall shopping strip.

The development features 56 apartments over 22 levels, with a mix of studio, 1, 2 and 3 bedroom units as well as a four bedroom penthouse with its own private roof terrace. There is also a ground floor retail tenancy, which will be utilised as a cafe with outdoor seating on completion.

The development also includes a state of the art car stacker, which was imported from Germany and is capable of storing 30 vehicles. This was implemented in response to the small CBD site area of just 387m2, which posed several unique challenges for the design and construction teams during the course of the project.

The building form, designed by renowned Architects Marchese Partners, is dynamic and ‘aspiring’ as it terminates the city block and seems to rise out of the neighbouring park. The design concept responds to the site attributes by ‘opening up’ the building to the park immediately to the north of the site. The unique butterfly plan form is a response to maximise solar access and
distant views while optimising apartments orientation and internal room layouts. Aspire is collaboration between Hindmarsh Development and Construction.
